How a survey ends is often as important as how it begins.

Survey Termination Options Menu
Open Survey Options to see the Survey Termination options.
There are four main options to choose from.
The first option is the Default end of survey message, “We thank you for your time spent taking this survey. Your response has been recorded.”
Creating Custom Messages
To create your own message:
- Select Custom end of survey message . . .
- Click the Load a Saved Message dropdown.
- Select an End of Survey message you’ve saved in your library or create a new one.
- If you realize you need to change your message later, navigate to the Librarysection and open your Messages Library. From here, you can locate and edit the message you created. Your survey will automatically update with your changes.
Redirecting to Web Pages and Reports
You can redirect your respondents to a URL. To redirect to a custom web link ( your main website or a product page, for example), select Redirect to a full URLand enter the desired web address.
Note: If you’re using the Qualtrics mailer to distribute the survey, you can trigger a Thank You email automatically.
The Redirect to a single response report option sends respondents a list of all their answers as well as every question in the survey, regardless of whether respondents saw or answered the questions. It also allows respondents to download a PDF copy.
Creating Multiple Endings
You can create a different End-of-Survey experience for every demographic.
- Open your Survey Flow.
- Click Add a New Element Here.
- Click End of Survey.
- Click Add a New Element.
- Click Branch.
- Nest the desired blocks and elements within the branch to match your set conditions.
- Click Add a Condition.
- To individualize the actual survey ending, click Customize on the specific End of Survey element, select Override Survey Options, and set the ending you want.
Note: You can create as many different branches and End of Survey elements as are necessary to customize your survey experience.
